The MOOC on 'Participatory Climate Action in Indian cities', is designed as a specialized capacity building course for city administrators and urban practitioners. Developed under the T-CAP project, this three-part module series equips you with the concepts, strategies, and digital tools needed to understand and implement participatory approaches for addressing climate challenges at the municipal level. In this course, you begin with an introduction to participatory climate action, learning essential practices that cities can adopt to foster collaboration among stakeholders—ensuring solutions are grounded in local knowledge and adaptive to on-the-ground realities. You will then explore how to effectively engage communities for localized climate action, examining formats and tools that sustain long-term citizen participation. The concluding module on digitalization demonstrates how leveraging technology and data-driven platforms can transform climate governance, enabling inclusive decision-making and more impactful urban interventions.
