Techniques to Manage Indian Cities

Techniques to Manage Indian Cities, led by Dr. Sameer Sharma, is a practice-oriented course designed to help municipal functionaries, urban professionals, government officials, students, faculty members and elected representatives address everyday city-management challenges. The course draws upon the field-tested practices of successful municipal commissioners, engineers, sanitary supervisors and other city officials. It converts their practical experience into simple and actionable techniques that can help learners organise municipal work, solve operational problems, improve service delivery and make city administration more responsive and results-oriented. Participants will be introduced to techniques related to activity planning, decision-making, sanitation, town planning, engineering, real-time monitoring, standard operating procedures, grievance redressal, inspections, time management and stakeholder management.
