The course is designed to facilitate an understanding of co-treatment approach for handling faecal sludge and septage at city/town level. By gaining knowledge about the co-treatment approach, it will enable city managers to achieve the City Wide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) principles and introduce solutions that are financially viable and sustainable as well as use existing underutilised sewerage infrastructure available in the city/town.
