Session 4b details additional features and architecture of the In-WARDs portal, designed for effective urban service management and citizen engagement. The portal incorporates a Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system, allowing administrators, department officials, and citizens to interact with specific functions like updating data, contributing to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and rating service quality across urban sectors. Citizens use the Smart Sarathi App for feedback and SDG contributions. A key benefit of the portal is its capacity for detailed, ward-level assessments that enhance transparency and informed decision-making. Built with open-source technology, it supports scalability and replicability across other cities, aligning with India's SmartCode initiative for smart governance and collaborative urban management.
