Roadmap to Livable Cities

As a part of the knowledge capitalization and communications initiative of the CITIIS Program, the Learning Module on ‘Roadmap to Livable Cities’ has been created. The CITIIS program has focused on conceptualizing nuanced projects and improved project design. The module emphasizes on the importance of the ‘Project Design’ Phase in the lifecycle of a Project identifying the problem, and the people it affects, and charting the course to arrive at a solution. The module aims to help all the Urban Local Bodies in developing projects ensuring smoother implementation and better performance. The module has been developed in collaboration with Urban Design Collective (UDC). Ms. Vidhya MohanKumar, the founder of UDC has delivered the course in this module. ‘Roadmap to Livable Cities’ has been created under the CITIIS program, in collaboration with the Urban Design Collective. The learning module showcases the CITIIS approach to project development, one which values the importance of the ‘project design’ phase, identifying problems early in the project life cycle, engaging citizens and stakeholders in the process, and charting a well-planned course to arrive at solutions. The module aims to help urban local bodies and other practitioners develop projects that ensure smoother implementation and better performance.
