This module has been prepared to help actors in the urban space develop an understanding of the basics of the disproportionate impact of climate change on women, especially from marginalized communities: the vulnerabilities of women, how climate change impacts women differently and the ripple effect of those impacts; the concept of gender mainstreaming; and what city governments can do to formulate gender-responsive climate action plans.
