Enhancing Urban Water Transportation in India through Integrated Waterways and Public-Private Partnership Models

Urban transportation in India faces severe congestion, pollution, and inefficiencies. Waterways remain an underutilized asset despite their potential to alleviate these issues. This paper explores the feasibility of an Integrated Urban Water Transport System (IUWTS) and introduces a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to enhance the navigability of non-navigable inland waterways.
