Established in 1882, Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Palika (BMC) is India’s first Municipal Corporation and is responsible for urban governance in Greater Mumbai. It is the largest local body in Asia and serves the city into three zones; City, Eastern Suburbs and Western Suburbs.
